"Where communities come together"

After a year of planning, in October 2020 the River Beal Café opened in Rochdale…

The café offers its customers the best tasting coffee beverages in the area. This has been achieved by using high quality ingredients and strictly following preparation guidelines. It also provides a range of free magazines, newspapers and free access to Wi-Fi. It occupies a space of approximately 86 square meters, which includes seating areas with 15 tables, a kitchen, office, storage and toilet areas.

The menu of the café has been built around espresso-based coffee drinks such as lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, etc. and also offers a range of pastries, cakes, salads, sandwiches and toasties. It employs a full-time manager and also a number of part-time baristas/volunteer posts which have been offered to local vulnerable adults as paid employment opportunities.

Our convenient location and excellent customer service will build a steady repeat customer base when we are able to safely reopen again after 17th May 2021. The café provides top quality products, great service and plenty of seating areas, both indoors and outdoors. It is the destination place to meet with friends, relax and enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Social Value

The café project will be based on a number of key social value principles and will have a positive impact on the local community. It will bring people together and provide a hub for the local community where people can build meaningful connections, share interests with one another, and help reduce social isolation. We will also provide jobs and skills development, which in turn will help build people’s confidence, resilience and support independence.

This has been a huge project for us and we would love you to follow our journey on Facebook and Instagram.
