Most Effective Approach to Integrated New Models of Care Award and

Most Effective Approach to Leadership and Management Award

Skills For Care Accolades 2018

What the judges said:

"Future Directions has a good understanding of commissioning and how to get the best for people through that process. They foster very good relationships with people across a range of services to support their approach. It can be harder to integrate values in a big organisation but the judges felt that they’d done that through a clear methodology and practice that runs through the way they approach things. Future Directions also challenges public perceptions, by holding consultation meetings to reduce barriers.

"Future Directions demonstrated they have great values and that translated into good outcomes for the people they work with. There are clear opportunities for aspiring leaders and they strongly support and invest in leaders and managers across the organisation. They have good systems in place for aspiring leaders including mentoring coaching and acting up opportunities. Future Directions is committed to developing a talent pool to replace managers when needed."

Skills for Care CEO Sharon Allen said: “Our Accolades awards are open to over 20,000 social care organisations, so winning two means Future Directions CIC is one of the very best of the best employers who are committed to developing the skills and knowledge of their teams. The result of that investment in their teams at every level is the people they support can access high quality services so they can live the lives they want to.”
