Meeting the health needs of the people we support

We recognise that individuals with learning disabilities and mental health issues are highlighted nationally as having high levels of unmet health needs.

To address this, we are committed to supporting individuals to maintain, improve and monitor their health through supporting access to health promotion schemes, national screening programs, identified health check timescales and national guidance.

We do this by supporting the individuals understanding about their health, working with primary care agencies to support individuals to access services and supporting and promoting understanding of the needs and adaptations necessary to support individuals with complex needs to access services.
