I am passionate about ensuring people we support are given greater choice and control over their lives in order to be active, engaged and valued members of their communities.

I work closely with SPICE to develop their skills and confidence and support them with the work they do.

I am also responsible for volunteering: I recruit new volunteers into Future Directions and promote volunteering to the people we support.

I love my job and am committed to creating opportunities for people we support to promote their independence and human rights.

Social Media Marketer and Designer

My roles are:

Producing marketing material including; newsletters, posters, promotional leaflets, information leaflets and adverts etc.

Co-ordinating the website and blog and managing our social media sites. Co-ordinating the filming of our social media videos.

Designing signage, from external building signage to banners for exhibition stands.

Organising the Awards Ceremony and Celebration Day.

Producing the Future Directions CIC Newsletters.

Jill Simpson Price

Dignity and Care and Complex Needs

Through my work as Dignity In Care lead and supporting people with complex health needs. I support staff to ensure we have a zero tolerance to lack of dignity and that support staff have information, advice and support to improve standards of care. I also ensure that staff have a full understanding of what their role is in relation to promoting dignity in care and how to support individuals with complex needs. Ensuring they lead full and meaningful lives.

Paul Lord

Learning and Development Manager

Paul is a Registered Nurse with well over 35yrs experience in working within Health & Social Care. During this time he held a number of key clinical and managerial positions and has, within these posts always aspired to the delivery of services that were centered around the people who used those services.  In March 2016 he retired from the Director of Operations position and returned to Future Directions, on a part-time basis as the Training and Development Manager. He is also the line manager for the Positive Behavioral Support Lead.

Sharron Hunt

Specialist Services

I am a registered nurse with 20 years experience working within Health & Social Care supporting people with complex needs and mental health needs.  I am the Registered Manager of Grange Avenue Specialist Support Service and provide clinical leadership to 2 residentials with nursing services.  I have worked with a wide range of individuals with varying degrees of needs including supporting individuals to move to a community setting from long stay hospital settings as part of the Transforming Care Agenda.

Lead Nurse Positive Behavioural Support Manager

Registered Nurse and Social worker. Since 2001 worked in supporting people with learning disabilities and Mental Health needs and or complex and challenging behaviour as a Team Leader and Network Manager. Employment Lead, supporting people to find paid and voluntary work. Practice Educator/Mentor for social work and Nursing students. Assessor and Verifier. BSC Behaviour Analysis currently train staff on positive behaviour support.

Pete Begley

Autism Consultant

As autism lead specialist my role includes developing and providing training on autistic spectrum conditions. Additionally, I have expertise in supporting teams to develop positive autism approaches for individuals within their own tenancies. This involves ensuring that the support an individual receives focuses on understanding the differing needs of people on the autistic spectrum. Recent work included gaining ‘Autism Accreditation’ (N.A.S.) for two of the schemes in which we provide support.

Joanne Brockway

Quality Compliance Lead

I have a passion to ensure the services we provide to people we support are of excellent quality with the aim to be Outstanding!

As a previously registered manager as well as working for NHS England and Care Quality Commission as an inspector, I am very focused on making sure our organisational values and the support we provide to the people we support and each other is truly person centred and at the core of what we do. 

My role is to rate compliance with CQC regulations by conducting mock inspections based on CQC inspection framework in the homes of the people we support as well as continually improving our service. 

I am also a founder member of a Regional Quality Leads group linked to Skills for Care which consists of staff from a variety of providers who have responsibility for quality within their organisation. I was appointed Chair of the Quality Leads group in 2017.

Alison Robinson

Service Transition Manager

I am a registered Nurse and have been working for over 30 years with people with learning disabilities, mental health needs and forensic histories within health and social settings.

As Service Transition Manager I am involved in working closely with the people we support, families, staff and other professionals to project manage the set up and establishment of new services and instilling the Future Directions values.

It is important to me to focus on the individual's needs, wants, desires and goals so they are always at the centre of the support they receive.

Dianne Roberts

Community Connector for the 'Friends For Life' Group

I am part of the Friends For Life Team, in my role I help to support people who would like to mak friends and connect within their community. We ask them what their interests are and what they would like to do. Part of my role is to look at what people have said, research, plan and support to make these happen from small to large events. I also advise the people we support what is available in their local area and the opportunities that are out there that they can connect with.
