Future Directions - Finalists for 4 Skills For Care Accolades

5th December 2018 |

We are proud to announce that we are finalists for four Skills For Care Accolades!

Thank you to our fantastic, values driven staff teams for your dedication and hard work. Without you, we wouldn't be finalists in the following categories:

Best employer of over 250 staff

What Skills For Care say about this award:

This award recognises adult social care providing organisations/services that invest in developing the skills and knowledge of their workforce to offer high quality, person centred social care.

High quality, personalised care and support can only be a reality when the workforce is properly supported. We’re looking to identify and celebrate those care providing organisations/services that are leading the way in their approach to:

  • recruiting the right people
  • developing their staff to meet the needs of the people they support
  • demonstrating leadership and management best practice.

Most effective approach to leadership and management

What Skills For Care say about this award:

This award recognises employers who have a commitment to effective leadership and management at every level of their organisation.

We’re looking for employers who can demonstrate how their leaders and managers drive the vision, values and the direction of the organisation, how they are supported in their role and how they identify or recruit managers.

Best recruitment initiative

What Skills For Care say about this award:

This award recognises employers who have established effective recruitment initiatives which encourages new and returning talent into their workforces.

We’re looking for employers who can demonstrate their effective recruitment processes. From how they target and attract new and returning talent. They will need to explain the methods they used and be able to demonstrate the positive impacts (for example, reduced vacancy and turnover rates).

Most effective approach to integrated new models of care

What Skills For Care say about this award:

This award recognises effective approaches to integrated, collaborative, partnerships which bring together workers from different settings to coordinate and/or deliver services focused on the individual, not the organisation or profession.

We’re looking for partnerships who can demonstrate how they developed and sustained the new way of working, how they identified workforce development requirements and explain what evaluation has been done to modify and share the learning.

We are very much looking forward to the Skills For Care Accolades Ceremony taking place at the end of January!
